Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot: Game Guide and Prizes
A guide to how the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot works: a series of 200,000 unique ticket numbers with no numbers to select, twelve prize levels, and a jackpot that carries forward until one specific ticket takes it.
Super Jackpot is the larger-pool half of Lucky Lotteries, a raffle-style game that has run since 1931. There are no numbers to pick. Each entry gives you one or more ticket numbers taken from a pool of 270,000, and every number in that pool is different, so a win is yours alone and never split with anyone else.
Every draw guarantees more than 10,000 prizes, with a $100,000 first prize each time. The game is sold under The Lott everywhere except Western Australia, where Lotterywest does not offer it. There is no set draw night. A Super Jackpot draw fills up over time and is only drawn once its last ticket has sold, so you always join whichever draw still has numbers left.
How Super Jackpot works
Each game is decided by two draws. The first draw picks the winning ticket numbers for the cash prizes and consolation prizes. The second draw decides the jackpot: if the number it produces also won a cash prize in the first draw, the jackpot is won. If not, the jackpot rolls over and grows for the next draw.
Every game has 10 cash prize levels and 10 consolation prize levels, plus the jackpot. Consolation prizes go to numbers that land one either side of a first-draw winning number, which adds more ways to come away with something.
There is a guaranteed 1st prize of $100,000 in every draw, and the jackpot starts at a minimum of $500,000, growing each draw until it is won.
Buying an entry
Super Jackpot is $2.30 per number. You can buy in-store, online, or through The Lott app. When you buy, you decide three things: which draw to enter, whether your numbers are random or sequential, and how many numbers you want.
Random or sequential
Random numbers are scattered across the pool. Sequential numbers run in a block. Either way, you can play from 1 to 10 numbers per entry. The order does not change your odds.
Advance draws and subscriptions
You can enter a future draw ahead of time, or set up a subscription online so you are entered into every draw automatically. A subscription can be cancelled at any time.
